How did a GAZ ultimately make its way to Kentucky? How did a Bulgarian engineer come up with the parts to restore it? Should I sell my left or right kidney to come up with the quick cash for it? These are the questions you should be asking yourself when viewing this 1962 GAZ 69M for sale on Hemmings.com. From the seller’s description:
This GAZM started its life in Russia but was soon sold to the Bulgarian military. After serving a peaceful life in that service it was purchased by a enthusiast/engineer in Bulgaria who painstakingly restored the GAZ to its original specifications. This was done over a one and a half year period using OEM and NOS parts throughout. No time or expense spared. I could go on and on about the details of the restoration process but suffice it to say all is tidy and correct. You may contact me for further details and photos. This vehicle has traveled only 200 km since the full restoration.
